I am exploring the delicate intersection of personal and collective memory, by deconstructing and reconstructing it. My practice driven by the need to transform vulnerability into strength. Working primarily with pyrography on plywood, ink, and watercolor, I craft raw yet poetic narratives that navigate themes of identity, fear, and the sacredness of the intimate. By etching and burning into wood, I materialize fleeting emotions into tangible forms, trying to subvert this violent action into something soft and tender. While ink and watercolor works capture ephemeral, almost ghostly impressions of human presence. Through a balance of control and surrender, I am reaching an act of catharsis—an exorcism of fear, a ritual of exposure, and at the end a breath for liberation. It is a step beyond the boundary, where the transgressive takes the form of both wound and voice.
In making the private public, I engage in a dialogue between fragility and permanence, I am peering behind the curtain of the sacred. It is a grasp at the instant, a breath before it unfolds
